Upon First Arrival

“I first heard about Show Your Spark through the Self-Love and Liberation mini-retreat offered in the Fall of 2022. I was inspired by seeing so many women feel comfortable in their skin. I wanted to feel the same way about myself so I scheduled a session.

I am most nervous about the poses and how I will feel without any clothes on, but I’m excited to be in the moment. I am choosing to enjoy today and the process of being out of my comfort zone.

Just a year ago, I never would have been able to participate in an activity like this. Now I am excited to feel beautiful, feel myself, and feel alive!”

Post-Spark Session

The experience was so much fun. It was just amazing. I’m most excited to see how the portraits turn out. I’m especially excited to see the wet t-shirt images. That was a neat experience.

I no longer feel nervous. I loved being in the moment, embracing everything, and feeling comfortable in my own skin.”

After Seeing Her Portraits

I can’t even put into words how amazing it was to see myself on the screen and think, “Who is that person in there?” And it’s me! It was so amazing. I cried.

It’s been a long journey for me to be able to even think that this kind of experience would be possible for me. Now that I’m here and it’s over, it’s so rewarding. It was incredible to see my inner beauty reflected in those pictures.

My favorite photos are the sheet set portraits. They are sexy, but leave a little hidden, to keep you guessing a little bit. The portraits from the Wet T-Shirt Scene totally blew me away. It was just absolutely stunning. I loved the portrait with the purple lighting and the bodysuit that I feel documented my whole personality. In that portrait, I saw the softness of my smile instead of just my tough exterior.

I’m so excited to be able to look back at my photos and think “Here I am! I did this! I had the courage and the “oomph” to let go of all the stereotypes and messages about what people say a body “should” look like.”

Words of Advice to Others

“You have to just do it! I thought that I was gonna feel a little uncomfortable but I didn’t. It’s just an amazing experience. Everything flowed so well and I felt so comfortable, I didn’t feel like I was having a session. Even in the posing, when I thought it would be uncomfortable or weird, you walked me through it and I was able to do them without any hesitation.

This studio space has an aura that puts me at calm and ease. I felt it the first time I entered the space. I feel safe and free to be myself in this space.

I would encourage anyone considering a Spark Session to look through the portraits Lindsay creates on her social media feeds. You will see women from different walks of life and will be able to realize that if they can do it, you can do it too!”
