Her fierceness is about more than stepping away from the corporate world, but about stepping into a stronger sense of self with hope, gratitude, and self-respect. In this interview, she shares her powerful insights on overcoming life’s storms, living life on her own terms, and her thoughts on being a part of the Fierce After Forty Project.
Fierce and Fearless
“I have a much stronger sense of self than I ever have. It has been a long, hard road that led me to not only understand what I want and need for myself but to give myself permission to have it.”
“To me ‘fierce’ means to be fearless and with great gratitude to live my life on my own terms.”
New Beginnings After Forty
“I am most proud of surviving and thriving after a turbulent marriage and an extremely contentious divorce. My family was living overseas when it became clear that the only way to keep myself and my children safe and protected was to return to the US on our own. It was a painful and difficult process to rebuild a life and career as a single parent. The years that I had to balance work and parenting were the most challenging and exhausting of my life. Some days I really didn’t know how I was going to make it through. During that time I learned two very important things; the importance of good supportive friends and that it’s ok to ask for help when you need it.”
“I have now come out on the other end, both of my kids have graduated from college and are starting their own lives and I have recently retired as a Director at a multi-billion dollar company. I have remarried the kindest most amazing man who is a true partner. I have never been happier and the adversity I overcame makes me appreciate my life even more.”

“Since entering this decade of life, I have learned that I am strong and can face whatever life throws at me. I have learned in life that if you keep hope and gratitude you can achieve more than you imagined.”

“I have always been very self-critical about my body and it took a leap of faith to allow myself to be vulnerable enough to get in front of a camera alone (and half-dressed) for a photo session. I am so glad that I did! I was amazed at how fun the photoshoot was and how comfortable Lindsay made me feel. I was shocked at how beautiful the photos came out.”
