When today’s feature client initially booked her Spark Session over a year ago, she was excited about the experience. As time passed, waiting for her session, she excitedly learned that a Spark Session is so much more than a boudoir photography session. A Spark Session provides our clients a safe environment to own their space, see the light within them, and permanently step into their confidence.
Today’s client found all of these and so much more! Through her Spark Session, she found a home in her own body, something she had never felt before.

“I wanted to … feel empowered”
The initial reason I booked my Spark Session was I just thought it would be fun to have a photo session. As time went on, and I learned more about it, I really wanted to do it to feel empowered and really grow my confidence. I was definitely most excited to see my photos. I booked my session over a year ago, so it’s safe to say the suspense was killing me!
“My nerves had been transformed into a feeling of excitement.”
I was extremely nervous stepping through the doors! I had never done anything like a Spark Session before, but Lindsay was great about keeping me in the loop of what to expect. She made sure I was prepared and comfortable leading up to my Spark Session. When I first walked in, all I could think about was how awkward I was going to feel in front of the camera. I kept trying to envision how my pictures would end up coming out. Lindsay and Michelle did an awesome job at calming my nerves and quieting my mind down. By the time I was all finished with hair and make-up, my nerves had been transformed into a feeling of excitement.
“This experience helped me see myself in a different light…”
My favorite moment of the Spark Session was the reveal of all my photos at the end. Seeing myself on that big screen of hers had me shocked. I couldn’t believe the girl I was looking at was me! I had never seen myself in the light that Lindsay captured so beautifully. Flipping through the photos, I couldn’t help but laugh. I thought, “OMG, is that really me?!” Being confident in my own skin hasn’t always been something that comes naturally to me. This experience definitely helped me see myself in a different light than before!
“Everyone woman should do this..”
I think every woman should do something like this at least once in their life. The best advice I can give is to keep an open mind and try not to get inside your head. How you expect the pictures to come out is nothing like the final product. I promise. 🙂 Take direction from Lindsay (She’s the best and will make you feel comfortable in front of the camera), and just embrace being you!
