I’ve always wanted to do an epic “year-end wrap-up” blog pos. Over the last twelve years of image-making, I would run and hide from the overwhelm I felt around going through literally thousands of photos I created for my clients, choosing the “best of the best” while making sure everyone felt included and seen. Perfectionism would get the best of me, and the post would never see the light of day.
Beauty Witnessed in the Studio
But this year taught me, in addition to many other things – to stop letting perfection stand in the way of progress. It showed me what I’m made of. This year showed me that the work my team, my clients and I have created is too important to wrap up and glide past into the new year without a proper recap of the immense power, breakthroughs, and sheer beauty we’ve witnessed in the studio in 2021.
A Year of Growth
2021 was a record year for Lindsay Hite Photography LLC, Show Your Spark, as a brand, and for my personal growth – all amidst a freakin’ world pandemic.
Empowering Photographic Experience for Women
Since leasing and renovating the studio space in 2018, and finally opening the doors to clients in 2019, my focus has been centered around creating a top-notch, empowering photographic experience for women – full service, start to finish. My goals has been to help women feel so beautiful, confident, and strong that by the time they leave the studio, they see themselves in an entirely new way.
2020 rocked me to my core as a small business owner, but the challenges through the shutdown and the reopening allowed me to greet 2021 with clarity of vision, and an increased sense of purpose. Our calendar was filled with clients eager to step into their own Spark Experience right out of the gate in January.
New Creative Ideas
This post celebrates the first Quarter of the year, which was filled with testing out new creative ideas for all our clients, such as our Wings and Cinemascape.
Celebrating Weddings
We helped women celebrate upcoming weddings by creating the most badass gift ever for their partners. We helped a momma to create truly epic maternity photos showing off her amazing personality.
Photographing Deeply Personal Connections
We helped two different couples create a lasting celebration of their unique and deeply personal connections.
Dynamic Branding Imagery
We helped a powerhouse entrepreneur and mindset master create dynamic branding imagery to use on her forthcoming sales pages.
Displaying Vibrant Gorgeous Humans
I witnessed multiple women reconnect with their bodies after many years of judgment, punishment, shame, and intense sadness to emerge lighter, full of life and celebration as they truly SAW themselves for the first time as the vibrant, gorgeous humans they are.
A Safe, inclusive, and Empowering Photographic Experience
I enrolled and graduated the Boudoir University to educate myself on as many different intersections of oppression as possible, in order to strive to provide a safe, inclusive, and empowering photographic experience for all humans, mitigating harm where possible. It is my aim to constantly strive for empowerment, inclusivity, and empathy in all practices. This course allowed me to deepen my understanding of how to do this going into 2021!
