Healing Cancer’s Wounds

Healing cancer’s wounds can take many modalities. Show Your Spark had the honor to be part of today’s featured Spark Alumni’s healing.

When cancer entered her life, everything changed. After a fierce battle and victory, she found herself struggling to love her body.

That’s where Show Your Spark showed up! A full day Spark Experience helped her positively reconnect to her body, restoring an appreciation for its strength and beauty.

You won’t want to miss this Spark Alumni telling her story in her own words!

Shattered World

I had recently celebrated my 20th wedding anniversary and turned the “Big 50” when diagnosed with Stage 2 Cancer. This discovery shattered my world as I once knew it.

I simultaneously endured 5 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy pills. After surgery to remove the cancer, I started 4 months of intravenous chemotherapy. That powerful chemotherapy treatment gave me sensitivity to anything cold, numbing my hands and feet. I even had to warm my water to be able to drink it.

An Amazing Experience

Walking through cancer was an awful time, to say the least. Later, when I was finally getting and feeling better, a fellow cancer survivor told me about her boudoir photography experiences. Impressed by her stories, I decided to schedule my own!

I learned about Linday’s work and booked a session! It was truly an AMAZING experience from start to finish! I initially felt guilty about spending so much money on myself, but after the rough medical year, I decided it was the BEST thing I could’ve ever done for ME!!

Healing Cancer’s Wounds

I felt beautiful, strong, and sexy. After hating my body for so long from cancer, my Spark Experience made me LOVE my body again. Now I not only love it, but I have learned to appreciate my body and the strength it went through to beat cancer.

I have no regrets about booking a Spark Session. I see my wall art portraits every day when I wake up. Looking at the pictures brings a smile to my face and reminds me to live confidently.
